How can I make my Jeep zipper work better?
Candle wax and bar soap are surprisingly effective lubricants. To fix a stuck zipper, clean everything with soapy water and grab a pair of pliers. Get the zipper moving a few inches, and then rub your soap or candle onto the zipper's teeth. Pull the zipper back down over the waxed section, and zip it back and forth.
Squeeze a top stop onto the zipper with pliers.
The zipper will need to be slightly open for you to do this. After you have the top stop where you want it to go, use the pliers to crimp the top stop into place. Make sure that the top stop is snug and will not move or come off when you pull on it.
If you have a can of WD-40 Specialist Silicone Lubricant on hand, you're in luck, because this is one of the best ways to unstick a stubborn zipper. Simply aim the nozzle at the stuck area and spray a little product onto it, wait a second and try again. You should be able to undo your zipper in a few seconds.
Can you use Windex on Jeep soft top windows? We don't recommend it. Windex is an alcohol-based cleaner, which will dry out the plastic and lead to cracking and discoloration. Avoid cleaners with alcohol or ammonia.

It's best to wash your soft top in a non-sunny area so that the cleaners don't dry out before you can rinse them off. Your top can handle a little bit of the old H2O, just don't blast it with a power washer. Jeep recommends against using any power washers of 1,200 PSI or higher on the Wrangler's body.

The "lead" in a regular pencil -- actually graphite, not lead -- is a natural lubricant that's excellent for zippers of all types. Rub a somewhat dull pencil over interlocked zipper teeth; then move the slider to zip and unzip the item, working the graphite through the interlocking zipper part.
